Cairo International Book Fair

Cairo International Book Festival(CIBF) is an annual event scheduled in January 2008 at Cairo Fair Grounds in Cairo, Egypt. CIBF hosts almost three thousands exibitors and around three million visitors every year. It is the biggest event in Africa. Middle East is boost up with the leading International Book Fair after Frankfurt Book Fair held in Frankfurt, Germany. Timings of Cairo International Book Fair was between 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. respectively.
First every Cairo International Book Festival was held in 1969. Purpose for starting CIBF was to close the gap between Arabic and other well known foreign languages. To provide better facility around 40 microbuses are there to easy the crowd.
Millions of books covering almost every topic are available and some of them on heavy discounts. Most Books are in Arabic, other than that English, French, Italian and computer software were also available. Other than Book Fair, Lectures and saminars are also conducted by Arabic writers and thinkers at Cairo International Book Fair
