Earlier Deccan Chargers won the toss and elected to bat first. Deccan Chargers opens the innings with Adam Gilchrist and VVS Laxman. Gilchrist cracked the Chennai Super Kings bowlers as he hits 38 runs in just 17 balls including 4 boundries and 3 sixes. 50 comes up in just 5th over of the match. VVS Laxman could'nt last long as he run out by Raina/Dhona pair at the individual score of 12 runs. After that Gibbs and Symonds excelerate the innings and made a 95 run stand.
