DLF - Indian Premier League is Twenty overs cricket competition run by BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) and approved by ICC (International Cricket Council). DLF - Indian Premier League matches starts from 18th April 2008. Bangalore Royal Challengers fights with Kolkata Knight Riders in the opening match. Total Eight Teams are participating in 2007-08 Indian Premier League and all the matches are to be played in these eight teams native cities respectively. The total prize money for the league will be approx Rs. 13 crore (upto US $3million).

Top four teams in the final points table are elegible for Semi Final Matches on Friday 30th May 2008 and Saturday 31st May 2008 respectively. Out of which winners of semi final match meet again in grand final on Sunday, June 1st 2008. Both the Semi final and final match will be played in Mumbai.

Other cities which are hosting matches are Bangalore, Chandigarh, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Jaipur and Kolkata. Total 59 matches to be played between eight teams - Bangalore Royal Challengers(Bangalore), Punjab Kings(Chandigarh), Chennai Super Kings(Chennai), Delhi Daredevils(Delhi), Deccan Chargers(Hyderabad), Rajasthan Royals(Jaipur), Kolkata Knight Riders(Kolkata), Mumbai Indians(Mumbai).

The eight different venues decided for Indian Premier League Matches are - M Chinnaswamy Stadium - Bangalore, Punjab Cricket Assocation Stadium - Mohali - Chandigarh, MA Chidambaram Stadium - Chepauk - Chennai, Feroz Shah Kotla - Delhi, Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium - Uppal - Hyderabad, Sawai Mansingh Stadium - Jaipur, Eden Gardens - Kolkata and Mumbai(venue to be decided).
