Players auction for 5th season of IPL 2012 will be held on 4th February 2012. Due to the elemination of Kochi Team, the players will be auctioned.
The council has also confirmed that the player head count for each playing Team will be increased from 30 to 33 including 11 overseas players. But only a maximum of 4 players can included into playing XI. The teams will have an additional salary cap of $2 million.
