5th Season of IPL 2012
The Fifth season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) will begin on April 4 and conclude on May 27, 2012.
Season 5 of IPL 2012 cricket tournament will feature 76 matches, over a period of 54 days in the month of april and may 2012. Opening and closing matches of IPL 2012 will be played in Chennai city in Tamil Nadu, India.
Total Nine Teams are participatiing in DLF IPL 2012. Team Kochi is out from IPL 2012 season five.
First Qualifier will be played by the top two teams in the league while the Eliminator matches contested by 3rd and 4th team, will be held in Bangalore. Chennai will host the second Qualifier, which will be played between the winner of the Eliminator and the loser of the first Qualifier, and the tournament final.
The next player auction for the IPL is scheduled for February 4.

Players auction for 5th season of IPL 2012 will be held on 4th February 2012. Due to the elemination of Team Kochi, the players will be auctioned.
The council has also confirmed that the player head count for each playing Team will be increased from 30 to 33 including 11 overseas players. But only a maximum of 4 players can included into playing XI. The teams will have an additional salary cap of $2 million.
Leading players who would be be part of the auction are Muttiah Muralitharan, Brendon McCullum, Mahela Jayawardene and Ravindra Jadeja.
Mumbai indians is the best because the team is full of all rounder like – Keiron Pollard,james franklin ,tisara parera ,andrew symonds…… it has great bowling line up as they have malinga, harbhajan, mckay ,ojha etc……..
Off course, n hope this time gambhir makes KKR, IPL 2012 champions.

Hi chennai is my best team. The players bought by gurunath meiyappan are just fantastic. Last year around everyone i met was saying that mumbai will gonna win but i told all of them that chennai will going to take the cup this time and that only happened. This year also chennai gonna win because dhoni is the captain.

In the initial ipl auction deccan chargers were really a great aspect(andrew symonds,gibbs,Gilchrist)…but they truly fall short to carry out,but of course correct
