Samajwadi Party Manifesto for Uttar Pradesh Elections 2012
Some years back samajwadi party supremo was is news claiming ban against English language and computers. Now sensing the power of youth, English and computers, his party has done a U-turn on the issue of English and computers. Some of the things which Samajwadi Party manifesto promises are:
- Free Tablets to students who passing Class X
- Free laptop to students passing Class XII.
- Stand against FDI or corporate retail chains. I am sure, he will do u-turm some years form now on this issue as he has done on english and computers.
- separate quota for Muslims over and above OBC and Dalit quota. This would mean quota excedding 50%. A time would come when complete 100% seats would be reserved in jobs and educational institutes.
Implementation of the Sachar and Rangnath Mishra Commission reports. - Release of innocent youths who are in jail on terror charges.
- opening of Urdu medium school and funding of madarsas.
- Induction of Muslim youth into security forces via special recruitment.
- 30,000 to Muslim girls passing Class X.
- University status would be given to Muslim educational institutes.
- Compulsory education for children till primary level and free books till Class VIII.
- Free Girls’ education till graduation in government colleges.
- Free clothes for girl students twice a year.
- Shiksha Mitras would be made regular
- Students from economically weaker section would be given free hostels and coaching.
- Free water to farmers. Cooperative societies would also provide
- Subsidised loans at 4% rate to small farmers.
- Pension for farmers with small holdings after 65 years of age.
- 20-hours electricity, in rural areas, and 22 hours in urban areas.
- Land acquisition in non-agricultural areas would be done at six times the circle rate
- Free operations for heart, cancer, liver and kidney diseases in government medical institutes. Free medical treatment for girl students till graduation.
- unemployment youths would be paid 1,000/month.
